The Selangor FC Women's Squad officially started their FAS Women's Super League campaign last week in preparation to strengthen the team before competing in the 2024 National Women's League.

The Selangor FC Women's squad has been drawn in Group A of the FAS Women's Super League against teams that are no strangers to this competition such as MBSJ FC, MBPJ FC, Shah Alam FC Swat, UiTM United Lioness, FC Japan Malaysia and Sternen FC.

Last week the Red Giants Women's squad had their first FAS Women's Super League match against tournament favourites, MBSJ FC. Even though the match ended with a 1-3 loss, the Red Giants managed to put up a good fight against last season's FAS Women's Super League defending champions, MBSJ FC.

The coaches were satisfied with the first match of the Selangor FC Women's squad, "The players have given their best in the first match against last season’s title holders, MBSJ FC. We believe that they gave one hundred percent during the match and they played exactly like what us coaches wanted. But there is definitely a lot that we need to improve in order to perform better in the future. We, the coaching staff, will design a better training schedule before the next match."

At the same time, the Red Giants Women's squad will also play in the FAS Women's FA Cup which will start with the Round of 16 before playing in the the National Women's League which will likely start in June.

FAS WOMEN'S SUPER LEAGUE

March 2, 5:30 PM - SELANGOR FC vs UITM UNITED LIONESS

March 10, 5:30 PM - SELANGOR FC vs FC JAPAN MALAYSIA

FA CUP (ROUND 16)

March 6, 5:30 PM - SELANGOR FC vs PERKEMAS FC
